Abstract

ABSTRAK

The Effectiveness of Arabic Language Learning Using Picture Media in Developing Vocabulary at the Awwaliyah/Ula Level Case Study at Madrasah Diniyah Al-Idrisiyah Megaluh Jombang. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of Arabic language learning using picture media in developing vocabulary at the awwaliyah/ula level at Madrasah Diniyah Al-Idrisiyah Megaluh Jombang. The research method used is quantitative with a pretest-posttest group design. The subjects of the study were 30 students of the awwaliyah/ulama class who were divided into two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. The experimental group was given Arabic language learning using picture media, while the control group was given Arabic language learning without picture media. The results of the study showed that Arabic language learning using picture media was more effective in developing vocabulary at the awwaliyah/ula level compared to Arabic language learning without picture media. This is evidenced by the results of the vocabulary test which showed that the average score of the experimental group was higher than the average score of the control group. This study concludes that Arabic language learning using picture media can be an effective learning alternative to develop vocabulary at the Awwaliyah/ula level.
