Abstract

Abstract:The recitation method is a form of practical method used in implementing a teaching and learning activity. This research aims to describe the application of teaching and learning activities in increasing students' learning motivation at MTs N 3 Tambakberas Jombang. There are two problems in this research, namely: 1. To find out the extent to which the recitation method is applied to Arabic language subjects for class VII students at MTsN 3 Jombang. To determine the level of learning motivation of class VII MTsN 3 Jombang students. 3. What are the inhibiting and supporting factors for the recitation method in Arabic language subjects for class VII students at MTsN 3 Jombang?. This type of research is a case study (field research) with a qualitative research approach. Data collection techniques use interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis technique uses domain analysis. Checking the validity of the data is carried out by extending observations, increasing persistence in research, triangulating analysis. The results show, (1) the use of effective methods in the learning process is very important to help teachers better understand students' difficulties and also to find methods that are appropriate to the material being studied. (2) Students who are motivated in their learning can be seen from behavioral characteristics involving interest, sharpness, attention, concentration and perseverance. Students who have low motivation in learning show reluctance, get bored quickly and try to avoid learning activities. (3) The recitation method is able to foster students' sense of self-confidence, responsibility as well as creativity in learning and understanding Arabic language material. On the other hand, the recitation method has weaknesses, one of which is the difficulty of controlling students, whether students complete the tasks given by the teacher themselves or not.
