Abstract

The rapid development of technology affects one's lifestyle. Currently online shopping provides convenience for users throughout Indonesia, especially users in the Kedamean District area and is even considered a new trend among the public, and users are very enthusiastic about this paylater feature and this feature is now an alternative to online-based payments. Shopee paylater transactions on the Shopee application are a service that provides an opportunity for users, especially users in the Kedamean District area, to postpone payments in installments without a credit card with certain terms and conditions that make it easy for users who currently don't have money so they can shop and fulfill their needs. his needs. This research is a field research, namely research whose object is about symptoms or events that occur in community groups. The problem in this study is regarding the practice of shopee paylater transactions in buying and selling online from a sharia economic perspective. The aim of this research is to find out the practice of shopee paylater transactions in buying and selling online from an Islamic economic perspective in the Kedamean District, Gresik Regency. This study uses qualitative methods from primary data obtained from interviews with shopee users in the Kedamean District, Gresik Regency. This study uses 12 respondents. The results of this study reveal that shopee paylater transactions in online buying and selling from a sharia economic perspective experience problems in the form of fines and interest charged to users when payments are overdue.
